The Times-Picayune Doll and Toy Fund is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that began in 1896, whose mission is to bring joy to children of families in need in the New Orleans area. The Fund fundraises throughout the year for monetary donations in order to purchase toys, school supplies, snacks and more for as many children as possible. The Fund holds an annual Toy Distribution the Saturday prior to Christmas Day, where all children ages 12 and under are welcome to attend.
Anyone can be a member! The Board of Directors is includes a variety of business professionals from throughout the New Orleans Metro area who volunteer their time to keep the Fund going. General Members pay an annual membership fee of $10, which is used towards the purchase of toys, school supplies, snacks and producing the Toy Distribution. We have a variety of committees and opportunities to get involved with the Fund throughout the year, which culminates to volunteering at the Toy Distribution.

The Toy Distribution is the day that we all work so hard for! It’s a day filled with excitement and joy as we get to play Santa’s elves and help thousands of children and families choose their favorite toy. All children ages 12 and under are welcome to attend our FREE event. Every child receives a toy, school supplies and a snack bag.
The 123rd Toy Distribution will take place this year, on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Convocation Center at Xavier University.
The Toy Distribution is FREE and open to the public. All children ages 12 and under are welcome to attend with their families, where each child receives a toy, school supplies and a snack bag.
